Cars on an absolute basis are just cheaper in the United States and one has to wonder why. When you go and try to exercise that reasonably available efficient alternative, you’re stopped. Canadians can save a few thousand dollars by buying their cars on the American market but car manufactures won’t allow it.

“I personally know that there are presidents in countries who send troops abroad to save lives,” Morales added later in the program, “but there are also countries who send troops abroad to take away lives. If we compare these two things…certainly we’re going to the conclusion that these policies must change.”

In the Boston Tea Party, patriots dumped tea into the ocean rather than pay the taxes imposed by a distant king. On the NYMEX, they dumped 117M barrels that were scheduled to be delivered to the American people - BARRELS YOU ALREADY PAID FOR AT THE PUMP - in order to create a bogus shortage so you can pay record high oil prices to a distant sheik.

So in my last post I talked about Installing Ubuntu. That was easy. I never got around to installing the wireless device driver on my machine but only because I finally ran some Ethernet cable to my room. Fuck wireless. You can’t ruin my day anymore 802.1b! So my first order of business was to install Firefox. Fuck! It’s already installed. Ok. Next on the list, an MSN client. I searched for a popular one and found GAIM. Wait a minute! It’s already on here. And it’s got good old fashioned IRC support! Also it has multiple protocols for those of us who have ICQ accounts from the late 80’s. Ubuntu, is there anything you can’t do? Stay tuned while I find out.

My computer is old. I’ve been using the same computer for the past 7 years. I’ve managed to upgrade it here or there and it’s served me well. This is like that time that I had an Atari ST and all my friends had PC. Sad times :( I think it’s time for me to move on. So a cobbled together the 2005’s best technology and made another PC. It could run Windows Vista. It meets the min requirements but I decided to give this Ubuntu a try. What is Ubuntu? It’s a Linux distribution, it’s free and Digg seems to likes it.

I installed it already. It was as simple as an XP installation. So getting up a basic configuration is simple. I’m want to set up a wireless network adapter and I have no idea what I’m doing. According to my buddy google, I have to use a NDISWrapper. This NDISwrapper is basically a tool you use to get windows drivers to work in a Linux installation. So this doesn’t seem to difficult. I have a feeling that swapping my wireless card into the new PC will be more difficult than installing this tool and then the windows driver.

Now I got to find some good development environments for PHP and web developing.

Pro wrestler Chris Benoit suffered brain damage from his years in the ring that could help explain why he killed his wife, son and himself, a doctor who studied Benoit’s brain said Wednesday. The analysis by doctors affiliated with the Sports Legacy Institute suggests repeated concussions could have contributed to the killings.

This is important. Because it dispels the myth that roid rage compels violent acts.
