So fricken cool. If the range is more than 200 km than I’ll line up a home depot and pick up the parts to do this to mine. ![]()
Bittorrent (and the nature of digital media) means that you can’t put the worms back in the can. What’s more, advertising space in commercial breaks costs so much money that you can actually buy a whole episode from the producer and distribute it (via internet or even by mailing a DVD to everyone) for less money than paying for the advertising. You could then also put a “bug” (like the channel marker in the top-left or top-right) for your brand all the way through the episode. Broadcast media will live on (at least for the time being) for live events and sports.
My computer is old. I’ve been using the same computer for the past 7 years. I’ve managed to upgrade it here or there and it’s served me well. This is like that time that I had an Atari ST and all my friends had PC. Sad times
I think it’s time for me to move on. So a cobbled together the 2005’s best technology and made another PC. It could run Windows Vista. It meets the min requirements but I decided to give this Ubuntu a try. What is Ubuntu? It’s a Linux distribution, it’s free and Digg seems to likes it.
I installed it already. It was as simple as an XP installation. So getting up a basic configuration is simple. I’m want to set up a wireless network adapter and I have no idea what I’m doing. According to my buddy google, I have to use a NDISWrapper. This NDISwrapper is basically a tool you use to get windows drivers to work in a Linux installation. So this doesn’t seem to difficult. I have a feeling that swapping my wireless card into the new PC will be more difficult than installing this tool and then the windows driver.
Now I got to find some good development environments for PHP and web developing.

Facebook is ubiquitous across educational institutions across North America. The potential for the Facebook application is still largely untapped. Watch this documentary and you will see why. I’m putting on a geek warning here as this video goes beyond just poking your friends.
